2026 Writing Contest

Seattle Pride is excited to launch the 2026 Youth Voices and Youth Visions contests — two opportunities for LGBTQIA2S+ youth ages 12 to 18 to share their creativity, perspectives, and imagination.

Youth Voices is Seattle Pride’s youth fiction writing contest, inviting young writers to submit original stories that reflect their lived experiences, hopes, and creative worlds. Youth Voices uplifts emerging writers and centers youth narratives as an essential part of our community’s cultural life.

Youth Visions complements that work through visual art, celebrating youth expression across mediums such as illustration, painting, and mixed media. Together, the contests spotlight the power of creative expression as a form of identity, resilience, and joy.
