Youth
Seattle Pride Supports LGBTQIA+ Youth!
LGBTQIA+ youth, no matter where they are on the gender or sexual identity/expression spectrum, should be celebrated, loved, and supported.
They also deserve to be heard.
Share Your Story
Seattle Pride is proud to partner with C89.5 out of Nathan Hale High School (https://www.c895.org/pride/) to provide a platform through which queer, trans, and questioning youth can anonymously share audio recordings of up to two minutes about their lived experiences, fears, achievements and celebrations – and notes of encouragement for their peers.
The audio stories will be shared on social media and archived to provide LGBTQIA+ youth with a treasure trove of inspiring stories of self-expression.
Youth Voices
In honor of Seattle Pride’s 50th Anniversary and to celebrate LGBTQIA+ history, Seattle Pride is inviting youth, ages 13-18, to submit their poetry and prose to the Youth Voices Award contest. Share your perspective, honor our past, and make the future better for all LGBTQIA+ youth with your writing!
Submit your work by August 1, 2024 for a chance to win prizes and be featured in Seattle Pride Magazine.
