Community Conversation with Seafair & More
, WA
Members of the LGBTQIA+ community and their supporters are invited to participate in “A Community Conversation” – exploring the question, what can organizers of some of the Pacific Northwest’s most popular events do to be more inclusive and better represent the community. This will be the first of many community conversations that the event producers will hold with underserved communities throughout the year.
The first hour-long virtual conversation will be hosted and moderated by Seattle Pride Executive Director, Krystal Marx, and will feature panel members from Seafair, the Washington State Fair, and Bold Hat Productions (Fremont Fair, Seattle Scotch & Beer Fest.)
“This conversation is an effort to answer the question, what can local events do to be more inclusive and better represent the diverse communities of the Puget Sound? “ stated Eric Corning, president and CEO of Seafair. “We’re looking forward to several additional conversations in 2022 to help better reflect and celebrate the rich diversity of our community.”
The first on-line conversation is set for Wednesday, January 12th from 7-8pm. This conversation is free, though advance registration is required on Eventbrite.
