We are proud to be Sponsors of the Seattle Queer Film Festival, which runs October 12–22, 2023 in venues across Seattle including Northwest Film Forum, Broadway Performance Hall, The Egyptian, and Ark Lodge Cinema screening 50 programs and over 100 films both in person and virtually.

This year’s festival theme is “Queer Joy Is Cinematic,” exploring what ‘queer joy’ means to all members of the LGBTQIA+ community, recognizing the need to fight and exist in equal measure.

Programming includes a presentation and talk by David Quantic, “Movie Musicals Made Me Gay,” including movie clips and a live performance by Monday Mourning. A screening of Cabaret will follow. There will also be a youth shorts program and a QTBIPOC program focused on Asian and Asian American short films this year.

Award categories include Best Narrative Feature, Best Documentary, and Best Short from audience and jury, as well as a Most Innovative Short from the jury.

Three Dollar Bill Cinema has been Seattle's LGBTQ+ film hub for 28 years. TDBC provides access to films by, for, and about LGBTQ+ people and their families, and a forum for LGBTQ+ filmmakers to share and discuss their work with audiences.
