Vaquero Azul is Otomí, Maya and Taíno, Dos Espiritus/Two-Spirit, Mesoamerican Illustrator and Sewist. During this event we will explore their research and design process for making their garments for Nuestra Euforia/Our Euforia. "Our Transcestors & Queer Ancestors are as old as the mountains, with our love and ancestral knowledge, we celebrate our euphoria through these beautiful garments." The finished garments will be worn in action with a special performance by the local LGBTQ2IA+ Folklorico Dance Group “Danza Monarcas. Thanks to our sponsor The Seattle Public Library Foundation.
