2024 Seattle Pride Month Drag Brunches

May 23, 2024 | Seattle Pride
What’s more fun than brunch? Drag brunch, of course!

A fabulous blend of food, fun, and a whole lotta flair, drag brunches have been sweeping the nation with growing popularity in recent years, and Seattle is no exception. But what exactly is a drag brunch? And why would you want to attend? Well, strap in darling, because we’re about to dazzle you with an array of good reasons.

Combining the best of entertainment and culinary delights, drag brunches are vibrant events where drag queens give epic, colorful performances while patrons enjoy countless mimosas and eggs benny. For obvious reasons, these events are popular with the LGBTQIA+ crowd, but they also offer an inclusive experience which appeals to diverse audiences, so everyone is welcome—provided you bring your ID, of course!

While you can find drag brunches throughout the year, they are extra popular during Pride Month, as a way to celebrate our diversity, foster community, and feast in a positive environment.

New this year, Seattle Pride is hosting the Official Seattle Pride Parade Drag Brunch and Viewing Party on the beautiful rooftop patio of Hilton Motif Seattle’s Frolik Kitchen + Cocktails from 10am to 2pm on parade day, Sunday, June 30. Why here? Well, it gives you an unmatched view of the Seattle Pride Parade’s starting line, so you can indulge in a premium watching experience while enjoying performances by an incredible cast of Seattle drag royalty Amora Namor, Brandi Marx, Bruno Baewatch, Dion Dior Black, Kara Sutra, Kylie Mooncakes, and Viper Fengz, complete with drinks and a delicious brunch buffet along with DJ Wes Wunder spinning five decades of Pride anthems. This can’t miss event is lovingly curated by Wunderland Events + JaqsNetwork. Tickets, starting at $80, are available HERE while supplies last.

It's the perfect way to celebrate Seattle Pride’s 50th anniversary, but there are plenty of others as well – full of gastronomic treats, electric energy, and plenty of sequins! Seriously, get ready to settle in for a treat with countless talented drag performers (both local and visiting) on stages across town.

One of the most appealing aspects of drag brunches is their inclusivity. People from all walks of life are welcome into spaces where everyone can feel comfortable and accepted. Whether you're a long-time fan of drag culture or experiencing it for the first time, drag brunches offer a non-judgmental environment where diversity is celebrated.

For the LGBTQIA+ community, drag brunches provide a venue to express and enjoy their culture openly. For allies and curious newcomers, it's an opportunity to learn, appreciate, and partake in the fun. Many of them are also family friendly, so find one in your own neighborhood to support!
